COMEDY SUMMER CAMP WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Welcome to the funniest camp in town! We’re thrilled that your child is joining us for a week of laughter, creativity, and maybe even a few well-timed knock-knock jokes. Before the comedic magic begins, we need to get the serious stuff out of the way. Please read, laugh (optional), and sign below!
WAIVER AND RELEASE
I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian of the child named below (hereafter referred to as "my child"), understand that the Comedy Summer Camp at New Victory Lanes LLC and The Wobbly Butt Tap Room & Eatery is designed to be a fun, interactive, and engaging experience. While we do our best to keep things safe, we acknowledge that unexpected things can happen—like an overly enthusiastic pratfall or an unfortunate case of the giggles.
In consideration of my child’s participation in the Comedy Summer Camp, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless New Victory Lanes LLC, The Wobbly Butt Tap Room & Eatery, Comedy Zone Mooresville, their owners, employees, volunteers, and affiliated parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or harm that may occur while my child is participating in camp activities. This includes, but is not limited to, spontaneous bursts of laughter, accidental tripping over microphone cords, and unexpected pie-related incidents (if applicable).
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I acknowledge that comedy can be an unpredictable art form, and participation may involve minor risks such as stage fright, an untimely joke that falls flat, or the sudden realization that dad jokes are funnier than expected. I voluntarily assume all risks related to my child’s participation and understand that the camp organizers will do everything in their power to provide a safe and encouraging environment.
MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
In the event of an emergency where I cannot be reached, I authorize the camp staff to obtain emergency medical treatment for my child. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred as a result of injury or illness during camp activities. I also acknowledge that laughter is the best medicine, but in some cases, actual medicine may be necessary.
PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE
I grant permission for New Victory Lanes LLC and The Wobbly Butt Tap Room & Eatery to take and use photos and videos of my child during camp activities for promotional purposes, social media, and future camp advertisements. If my child becomes the next big comedy star, I understand I cannot take credit for their talent—only their bedtime routine and snack preferences.
CODE OF CONDUCT
I agree that my child will follow camp rules, be respectful to staff and fellow campers, and refrain from any jokes that cross the line into inappropriate territory. This is a place for fun, laughter, and positive energy!
AGREEMENT
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this waiver, and I voluntarily agree to its terms. I promise not to hold the camp liable for any uncontrollable fits of laughter, joke-induced hiccups, or a newfound dream of becoming a stand-up comedian.
